Answer Key + Explained Answers:
Q1 – B) Courageous. “Brave” means courageous. “Cowardly / Weak / Afraid” are antonyms.
Q2 – B) Poor. “Rich” means wealthy. Its antonym is “Poor”. “Wealthy” is a synonym; “Lucky / Famous” are unrelated.
Q3 – A) Beautiful. Correct spelling: B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. “Beautifull” adds L; “Beautifel” uses E; “Beutiful” misses A.
Q4 – B) To be defeated. “To bite the dust” means to be defeated. It is not about literally eating dust.
Q5 – B) Al-Baqarah. Surah Al-Baqarah (Chapter 2, “The Cow”) is the longest Surah (286 verses). Al-Fatiha has 7 verses, Yaseen 83, Al-Kawthar 3 — all shorter.
Q6 – B) Al-Kawthar. Surah Al-Kawthar (Chapter 108, “Abundance”) is the shortest Surah (3 verses). Al-Fatiha has 7, Al-Ikhlas 4, Al-Asr 3 — Al-Kawthar and Al-Asr both have 3 verses, but Al-Kawthar is shortest by words (10 words vs 14). Note: Al-Asr also has 3 verses — if a question asks “shortest by verses”, both are 3; Al-Kawthar is shortest by words.
Q7 – C) 114. The Holy Quran has 114 Surahs. 110, 112, and 116 are incorrect.
Q8 – B) 558. The Holy Quran has 558 Rukus (commonly cited). 540 and 600 are incorrect; 6,236 is the number of verses (Ayat), not Rukus.
Q9 – B) Ghalib. “Diwan-e-Ghalib” is Mirza Ghalib’s collection. Iqbal, Hali, and Faiz have their own works.
Q10 – B) Firdausi. “Shahnama” (Book of Kings) is Firdausi’s (Abul Qasim Firdausi) epic. Saadi wrote Gulistan, Rumi wrote Masnavi, Hafiz wrote Diwan-e-Hafiz.
Q11 – C) Rumi. “Masnavi” (Masnavi-e-Ma’navi) is Rumi’s (Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi) work. Saadi wrote Gulistan, Firdausi wrote Shahnama, Hafiz wrote Diwan-e-Hafiz.
Q12 – D) Hafiz. “Diwan-e-Hafiz” is Hafiz Shirazi’s collection. Saadi wrote Gulistan, Firdausi wrote Shahnama, Rumi wrote Masnavi.
Q13 – C) Rs 20. One pen = 100 ÷ 5 = Rs 20.
Q14 – C) 80. Each term doubles: 5 × 2 = 10, 10 × 2 = 20, 20 × 2 = 40, 40 × 2 = 80. (50, 60, 100 are not doubling.)
Q15 – C) 100. 50% of 200 = 0.50 × 200 = 100.
Q16 – B) 4. 4x + 4 = 20 → 4x = 16 → x = 4.
Q17 – C) Yen. Yen is the currency of Japan. Won = South Korea, Yuan = China, Ringgit = Malaysia.
Q18 – C) Pound. Pound Sterling is the currency of the United Kingdom (UK). Euro = EU, Dollar = USA / others, Franc = Switzerland / others.

Q20 – D) Arctic. The Arctic Ocean is the smallest ocean in the world (about 14 million sq km). Atlantic is second largest, Pacific largest, Indian third.
