GSA Practice Set 32
Intro
This is GSA Practice Set 32 — 20 original MCQs in the GSA pattern: General Science (Q1–Q10), Quantitative Ability (Q11–Q15), General Knowledge (Q16–Q20). Attempt all 20 in 25 minutes without looking at the answers, then check the explained answers and review your weak section. These are original practice questions, not copied from FPSC papers or competitor question banks, and this site is not affiliated with FPSC.
Scoring: 18–20 = strong. 15–17 = good. 12–14 = fair, revise the sections you missed. Below 12 = study the weak-section review, then re-attempt in 2 days.

Answer Key + Explained Answers
Q1 – B) Mercury. Mercury is closest to the Sun. Venus is second, Earth is third, Mars is fourth.
Q2 – B) Au. Au is the symbol for gold. Ag is silver, Gd is gadolinium, Go is not an element symbol.
Q3 – C) Ohm. Ohm is the unit of resistance. Volt is voltage, Ampere is current, Watt is power.
Q4 – C) Pancreas. Pancreas produces insulin. Liver detoxifies, kidney filters, spleen filters blood.
Q5 – B) 373 K. Water boils at 373 K. 273 K is freezing (0°C), 100 K is -173°C, 0 K is absolute zero.
Q6 – C) Helium. Helium fills balloons. Oxygen is breathed, nitrogen is in air, carbon dioxide is exhaled.
Q7 – B) Peregrine falcon. Peregrine falcon is the fastest bird. Eagle is fast, ostrich is flightless, albatross is a glider — but peregrine falcon is fastest.
Q8 – B) African elephant. African elephant is the largest land animal. Blue whale is largest mammal overall, giraffe is tallest, hippopotamus is large — but African elephant is largest land animal.
Q9 – C) H2SO4. H2SO4 is sulphuric acid. HCl is hydrochloric acid, HNO3 is nitric acid, NaOH is sodium hydroxide.
Q10 – C) Vitamin C. Vitamin C deficiency causes scurvy. Vitamin A is for vision, Vitamin B is for energy, Vitamin D is for bones.
Q11 – C) 60. 40% of 150 = 0.40 × 150 = 60.
Q12 – C) 80. Pattern: ×2: 5 × 2 = 10, 10 × 2 = 20, 20 × 2 = 40, 40 × 2 = 80. (60, 70, 90 are not ×2.)
Q13 – C) 23. t + 6 = 29, so t = 29 – 6 = 23.
Q14 – C) 125. Cube of 5 = 5³ = 5 × 5 × 5 = 125. (115, 120, 135 are wrong.)
Q15 – C) 126. 14 × 9 = 126. (116, 122, 136 are wrong.)
Q16 – B) Ottawa. Ottawa is the capital of Canada. Toronto is largest city, Vancouver is a city, Montreal is a city.
Q17 – B) Sahara. Sahara is the largest desert in the world. Gobi is in Asia, Arabian is second, Kalahari is in southern Africa.
Q18 – C) Nile. Nile is the longest river in the world. Amazon is largest by volume, Yangtze is longest in Asia, Mississippi is in North America.
Q19 – B) Mercury. Mercury is liquid at room temperature. Iron is solid, copper is solid, aluminium is solid.
Q20 – C) 7. There are 7 continents. 5 is wrong, 6 is wrong, 8 is wrong.
